EXT. GRAVEL PARKING LOT - DAY

VOICEOVER

Toyota Corolla. The car that is what it is... A Car.

EXT. GRAVEL PARKING LOT - DAY

The camera focuses on the car from a front angle view, capturing the right-front side of the car.

Unplanned events got in the way of that.

CUT BACK TO GRAVEL PARKING LOT

So here we have a 2016 Toyota Corolla instead.

The camera moves to show the rear of the vehicle, as it travels slowly across the parking lot.

VOICEOVER

This Corolla is the Eleventh Generation Hatchback that was run from 2012 until recently, where the Twelfth Generation has replaced it in New Zealand within the last few months.

INT. COROLLA INTERIOR - DAY

The camera shows a POV shot of the driver driving the car in everyday conditions around Dunedin.

VOICEOVER

This current model has the GXR trim, which was a limited edition run that was available from late 2016 until early 2017, with only 500 models made.

The camera cuts to a panning shot of the interior, showing its features.

VOICEOVER

It comes with the 1.8 Litre inline-4 2ZR-FE engine coupled to a 7-speed CVT transmission, outputting around 138 horsepower or about 103 kilowatts to the front wheels.

The camera shows both the steering wheel and the gear selector knob in different shots.

VOICEOVER

The steering wheel and gear-knob have been changed from the base model to these stitched-leather ones...

EXT. GRAVEL PARKING LOT - DAY

The camera moves along the side of the car, displaying the stickers on the side.

VOICEOVER

...It also comes with these stickers on the side and the rear that show the vehicle's trim, and custom alloy wheels specific to this trim...

The driver pulls a mat out of the driver's footwell in the car, displaying the 'GXR' logo on them.

VOICEOVER

...And it comes with special-edition floor mats.

The camera shows the boot of the car.

The trunk space is reasonable for a family sized hatchback, with a storage size of 360 litres, allowing you to easily carry either your luggage or groceries with ease

The front of the vehicle is shown from a low angle, panning along the front of the car.

VOICEOVER

Now this model is a slight upgrade from the base 'GX' model, and everyone probably knows what the 'R' stands for...

The camera makes a quick cut to the front of the car, showing the grill. The car makes revving noises.

INT. COROLLA INTERIOR - DAY

The camera makes quick cuts from the tachometer and the gear-knob, the engine revs loudly.

EXT. GRAVEL PARKING LOT - DAY

The camera overlooks an empty parking lot. Suddenly, the car drives across the screen at a very slow pace.

VOICEOVER

Like a corolla could be fast anyway...

The camera goes back to displaying the car at varying angles, showcasing it.

VOICEOVER

The 2016 Toyota Corolla is exactly what everyone expects it to be. Limited Edition run or not. It is, just a car. a 4-door family hatchback.

INT. COROLLA INTERIOR - DAY

The camera goes back to showing a POV from the driver driving the car in Dunedin Traffic again.

VOICEOVER

It doesn't matter who you are, you've had a Corolla somewhere in your history. A Toyota Corolla intersects you at some point within your life

Ext. DUNEDIN HIGHWAY - DAY

The camera shows the car from front on, travelling on the highway.

VOICEOVER

Whether it was your mum's car, a friend's first car, or even someone on the street rear-ending you in their Corolla Sedan... Whatever the situation, you've encountered one in the past.

The camera cuts to a different segment of the highway, showing the car overtake the camera.

VOICEOVER

So... This is just your average family car, a car you've probably seen all over New Zealand heaps of times, but it's my car, and it hasn't failed me yet.
